Measurement System Analysis – MSA

MSA (Measurement System Analysis) is a set of procedures for assessing and evaluating the organisation’s measurement system. The MSA method is used to assess both an individual measuring device (e.g. a calibrated one) and the entire measurement system.

As the method is based on the assumption that measurement operations are affected by more than the accuracy of the measuring device, it focuses on analysing the sources of uncertainty in the entire measurement process and assessing the measurement system as a whole.
